Biography
| My name is Tom Shakely, and I'm a 17 year old graduate of Archbishop Wood Catholic High School near Philadelphia, PA. I'll be going on to major in Telecommunications at Penn State this fall. I've been seriously interested in photography for almost a year now, and have produced at least a few works that I'm satisfied with. I find the genre infinitely interesting -- capable of simply documenting events at its least and profoundly evincing man and nature's most fleeting expressions at its best. I'm a Catholic struggling with the message of God and His church. My devotion to most that I do is fueled by my faith in God and the ultimate goodness mankind, as self-righteous as that must sound. I have a relentlessly optimistic-realistic attitude about all that I do and all that motivates mens' work, and if you think one cannot be both an optimist and a realist, you don't know me. What I'm interested in more than anything else about this print store is knowing what made a person <i>not</i> purchase a print that he was at least moderately interested in. If you fit that description, please do me the favor of commenting on the work so I may know exactly how I missed the mark. |
